Growing up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, my love for fashion started early. My grandmother worked for Limited Brands, and I still remember tagging along with her and my mom to our tiny mall, eager to see the latest arrivals. My aunt introduced me to off-price shopping at Gabriel Brothers, and I was instantly hooked—driving across state lines just to hunt for unique pieces that no one else had. Thrifting naturally became the next step, and once I started, I never looked back.
Despite my love for style, I took a more analytical path, majoring in math while juggling part-time jobs as an algebra teaching assistant and a Forever 21 associate. I wasn’t sure how to turn my passion into a career—until I walked up to the American Eagle Outfitters booth at a career fair and discovered merchandising. That moment changed everything.
For the next 15 years, I built a career in corporate retail, working as a buyer and leader for brands like AEO, Aerie, Express, and Spanx—mentoring incredible teams and shaping product assortments. I loved the industry, but I always knew I wanted to build something of my own. That dream brought me back to my roots: secondhand fashion and personal styling.
I believe in making old pieces feel new and that mixing vintage with contemporary fashion is the most exciting style puzzle. That belief led me to launch Tribute to My Closet, where I bring together my expertise in merchandising, love for one-of-a-kind finds, and passion for helping people refine their personal style.
